Ask the giver
If i want to know more or everything about my computer, the best person to contact is the maker of the computer. Similarly, if someone gives you a gift an you do not much or how to use the gift, you need to first ask the giver. Life is a gift from God. Similarly, the days of our lives are gift from Him. So, if we really want any information about life, the best person to contact is God. For example, if you want to know how to do the days of your life, you need to seek him and ask Him. Moses, a great learned and wise man saw that without God he will not make it, so he prayed:
Psalm 90:12-17
12 So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom. 13 Return, O LORD, how long? and let it repent thee concerning thy servants. 14 O satisfy us early with thy mercy; that we may rejoice and be glad all our days. 15 Make us glad according to the days wherein thou hast afflicted us, and the years wherein we have seen evil. 16 Let thy work appear unto thy servants, and thy glory unto their children. 17 And let the beauty of the LORD our God be upon us: and establish thou the work of our hands upon us; yea, the work of our hands establish thou it.
In fact, we need to constantly pray this sort of prayer if we want to navigate through life and be successful. Remember, success without eternity is not success, but failure.
The best and first thing to do in the morning
Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God (John 20:17).
This was the statement of The Lord Jesus to Mary. In fact, this gesture of the Lord teaches us that, the first thing we need to do after waking up from our sleep is to present our spirit, soul and body to God before attempting to do anything. Not doing this in the morning is not a good beginning. Remember, it is his steadfast love that enabled us to awake and not by our power. Therefore we need to go to him before anything and thank, praise and worship him for who he is, and what he has done.
Praises and worship
Praises and worship are very similar. Often praises come because of something. If you read the book of psalms, you will see lots of praises to God by David the King. He did praise God for what God has done, has been and will do. Aside this, there were times he did worshiped God for who He is—God. He did this, not because of what God has done. In our world of today, what we most often call worship are just affirmative prayers—they are neither worship nor praise. Most of the songs full of me, we of today are now real worship songs. If you want to know how worship songs are, please listen to Agnus Dei on YouTube .

Goals

There are many towns and cities in the world. Since we cannot divide our body into many parts, we need to be in one city at a time. For example, I cannot be in New York and at the same time be in Rome. So, every time I desire to travel I need to figure out clearly the city I want to go to, then prepare and use the means(leg, horse, bicycle, motor, car, ship, train, aeroplane) to get there. This illustration does teach me something. The lesson is, we need to do one thing at a time—focus on one goal at a time. Very many people are where they are because, they crowd things—i want to do that, this, be that and that etc. This eventually makes them to be confused, go round and round and miss the opportunity of time. Time is an opportunity. If it is not, all the dead will have been here. You are here today, because you are opportune—it is your time and turn. So, be tuned else circumstances will tune and turn you round and make you hope less. The truth unknown to many is, we all have lots of desires. These numerous desires of ours are what make many to crowd things—wanting to kill three birds with one stone. However, this crowding of things is not the way to greater achievement. It does not bring progress at all. The way to progress is to tackle and target one thing at a time. The principle is visible in nature—one leg at a time even when walking. If you want to move two legs at a time, you will not go far because you will get tired soon or fall down.
